As Natural As The Sun
This was a collaborative academic project, the goal was to create branding for a new energy drink company and create a marketing strategy for the brand.
SOLARA energizes the modern lifestyle with a blend of clean, hand picked ingredients, crafted for wellness-driven tastemakers who demand more from their drinks.

The logo is
a simple combination word mark logo designed to portray Solara’s sunny and simple attitude. The handwritten typeface gives a sense of femininity, gentleness, and positivity, which is accented by the sun rays around the letter “S” for a gentle boost in energy.
Our colour scheme is a modified analogous harmony inspired by the multiple facets of a sunny day, from a warm sunrise, a bright afternoon, to a deep sunset, to evoke a feeling of brightness, energy, and summer times.
The packaging was created to mirror the changing light of the sky - from sunrise to sunset - symbolizing the natural cycles of energy and rest. The illustrations were created to demonstrate that our brand uses real ingredients unlike our competitors. 
Italian lemon is designed to represent peak daylight, bursting with brightness and citrus freshness.
Sunset nectar is meant to mimic the golden glow of sunset, offering a sense of warmth and relaxation.
A berry good  morning is designed to represent the early morning twilight, evoking calm and a gentles wake up energy

Throughout this project, I gained a deeper understanding of how to create harmonious designs using a limited colour palette.  Working with a single colour forced me to consider the role of contrast in design. I learned how to use variations in tone, texture, and scale to create visual interest and hierarchy within the composition, ensuring that important elements stand out without the need for additional colours.
One of my key takeaways from this project was the importance of striking a balance between creativity and functionality. While it's essential to push creative boundaries, it's equally important to ensure that the logo remains legible and effectively communicates the brand's identity and values.
