This is Bound & Found, a rebrand of a local vintage bookstore, lovingly rooted in Vancouver, BC. Bound & Found is more than a bookstore—it’s a curated experience in literary discovery, specializing in rare, secondhand, and out-of-print books for readers and collectors who value history, story, and the art of the printed page.
The Bound & Found logo captures the charm of a bygone era while remaining approachable and elegant. The soft curves of the serif typeface and the open book icon speak to the act of both seeking and rediscovering—inviting customers to lose themselves in the pages of something once lost and now found. Framed by graceful flourishes and anchored in Midnight Blue, the logo evokes a sense of quiet mystery and classic refinement, perfectly suited to a space where old books come to life.
The name “Bound & Found” encapsulates the store’s mission. “Bound” references the physicality of books—the craft, the tradition, the tangibility—while “Found” alludes to the thrill of discovery, the serendipity of stumbling upon a story you didn’t know you needed. Together, the name conjures both the nostalgia of past eras and the personal joy of connection—between reader and book, between past and present.
The colour palette draws inspiration from the textured pages and faded spines of well-loved volumes. Each hue contributes to a cohesive visual language that feels familiar, enduring, and rich with character.
For Bound & Found’s marketing, an ad campaigns was developed to reflect the  nature of its audience.
The Ad campaign targets vintage enthusiasts and collectors. Here, It has a clean, timeless feel that mirrors the vintage-modern fusion of Bound & Found. It nods to the past without feeling dated. The messaging positions Bound & Found as a destination for those who treasure the unique and the timeless: a place to find stories with history.
On Bound & Found’s website and landing page, the tone is inviting and thoughtful, blending visual richness with ease of navigation. The site introduces the store’s offerings—curated collections, community events, and book restoration services—while weaving in the brand’s passion for storytelling and slow, meaningful discovery.

Through the rebranding of Bound & Found, I learned how a brand can become a vessel for emotion, memory, and imagination. Rather than simply refreshing the look and feel, the rebrand brought to life the soul of the store—a space where people come to find something they didn’t know they’d lost. By shaping the visual identity and narrative voice around literary passion and enduring beauty, I was able to reposition Bound & Found as a beloved destination for those who believe books are more than objects—they’re keepers of history, and companions in our journey.
